Most of today’s Nail Polish Removers contain Acetone, a dangerous and highly flammable chemical that is harmful to health and damages fingernails as well as the skin around the nail.
Many ‘acetone free’ Nail Polish Removers use chemicals even more dangerous than Acetone such as Ethyl lactate, a solvent derived from Lactic acid. Nail Polish Removers containing Ethyl lactate are often called Bio or Natural Nail Polish Removers. Ethyl lactate is indeed a Bio-based solvent but this chemical is an irritant, in addition to being corrosive, and highly flammable.
To our knowledge, our Nail Polish Remover is the only one available worldwide that is free of dangerous ingredients and free from fragrances.
Most cosmetic products contain fragrances. * To create scent profiles, chemists can use different processes. A scent profile can be created using natural extracts or synthetic extracts. Whether these extracts are natural or synthetic, their perceived odour results from a combination of chemicals present in the final product.
Some of the most used compounds to create floral, fresh or fruity scents are also allergenic.*,** When they come in contact with the skin, they can sensitise the skin building up an allergic reaction overtime. Alternatively, they can trigger an allergic reaction the first time they come in contact with the skin.
Have a closer look and you will find those in most of your cosmetic and household products: citral, citronellol, coumarin, eugenol, geraniol, lilial, d-Limonene, linalool, etc…**
For this reason, Naturity Planet made the choice to keep their products fragrance-free. It is our way to make sure that all skin types are taken care of, even the most sensitive ones!
